VKU hosted the Seminar “Electrification, AI and the future of Engineering Education”
On the morning of March 1st 2024, the seminar “Electrification, AI and The Future of Engineering Education” was hosted by VKU in collaboration with the Ascendas Systems company to introduce and discuss about implying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Mechanical Engineering by Matlab software.
Overview of the seminar “Electrification, AI and the future of Engineering Education”
Attending the seminar, on behalf of Ascendas Systems company, there were Mrs. Nguyen Minh Ngoc – Account Manager, Mr. Nestor Daniel Fernandez – Application Engineer and Mr.Ngo Duc Thang – Application Manager. On behalf of VKU, there were representatives from departments, centers and faculties, along with lecturers and students. Particularly, the presence of Mr. Do Trong Khoa – Co-founder Volta Chain Inc was noted.
Mr.Ngo Duc Thang – Application Manager shared about Matlab and how to use Matlab
Mr. Nestor Daniel Fernandez – Application Engineer shared about various electrical models, AI models combined with practical applications.
Speaking at the seminar, speakers from the Ascendas Systems company introduced to students various electrical cell models (Simulink), logic simulation for system control of electrical devices, leading to direct C++ source code generation for embedding into devices; designing systems based on models, real-time simulation (model-based design) focused on the field of Computer Vision and Electric Vehicles, utilizing free courses and tools in Matlabs through Mathlab Academy; supporting the design process, training, and deployment of AI models, thereby helping students to access and understand systems with AI support.
Mr. Do Trong Khoa (Khoa Đỗ) – Co-founder of Volta Chain Inc.
Especially with the presence of Mr. Do Trong Khoa (Khoa Đo) – Co-founder of Volta Chain Inc., formerly Head of Software Engineering Team for Tesla’s fully autonomous driving feature, a graduate of UC Berkeley, USA (Top 1 in Computer Science globally). At the seminar, he dedicated time to share extensive experiences and knowledge about the essential skills of an engineer working in leading technology companies such as Tesla, the soft skills necessary for efficient work, job application skills at top companies, mindset orientation for entrepreneurship. Mr. Khoa Đo is also ready to introduce VKU students to technology companies in the US for employment.
VKU students participated in the seminar and asked questions.
The seminar ended in an enthusiastic atmosphere with exchange of questions with speakers and experts, contributing to guiding and motivating VKU students with many opportunities for studying, researching with entrepreneurial passion in the future.
