Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan, Head of the External Review Panel, presented the preliminary report on the results of the Official Accreditation Review
At the closing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan, Head of the External Review Panel, presented the preliminary report on the results of the Official Accreditation Review, in which he acknowledged and highly commended many of VKU’s outstanding strengths. The Review Panel noted that VKU has a clear development orientation, well aligned with national policies on science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation; its internal quality assurance system has been built in a relatively comprehensive manner, gradually fostering a culture of quality throughout the University.
The Panel also highly appreciated VKU’s young, dynamic faculty and staff with strong professional qualifications, systematically trained both domestically and internationally. The academic programs are closely linked to practical needs, with many key majors and minors meeting the human resource demands of society and industry. In addition, the University’s facilities, information technology infrastructure, laboratories, and library have been synchronously and modernly invested, effectively supporting training, scientific research, and student learning. Furthermore, industry engagement, international cooperation, and research activities have been implemented effectively, creating a dynamic environment for learning, hands-on experience, and innovation for students.
In particular, in his concluding remarks, Prof. Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan, Head of the External Review Panel, offered highly insightful and vivid reflections on VKU’s development trajectory. He emphasized that, looking back at the first five-year phase (2020–2025), VKU has vividly embodied the heroic spirit of Saint Giong, demonstrating a “Phu Dong–like” miraculous rise—emerging strongly from initial challenges to achieve breakthrough growth in both scale and institutional standing. However, as VKU enters a new strategic phase, in order to not only “grow bigger” but also become truly “stronger,” he recommended that the University embrace the spirit of Emperor Quang Trung, guided by the principle of “Speed – Boldness – Determination to Win.” Specifically, VKU should be “swift” in seizing pioneering technology trends such as artificial intelligence and semiconductors; “bold” in innovating governance models and mechanisms for attracting high-level talent; and “determined to win” in its commitment to meeting international quality standards. The transition from the explosive strength of Saint Giong to the intellectual and agile power of Emperor Quang Trung, he noted, is the key to enabling VKU to realize its aspiration of becoming an internationally recognized higher education institution in the future.
