VKU Graduation Thesis Defense: A Testament to Education Quality and a Strong Commitment to Global Integration
From June 30 to July 5, 2025, Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang, successfully held the graduation thesis defense sessions for students of the Business Administration major. The sessions covered various minors including E-Commerce Management, Digital Marketing, Digital Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Digital Tourism and Travel Service Management for the 2021–2025 cohort. This annual event is a significant milestone, showcasing the outcomes of VKU’s practice-oriented training approach — a core educational philosophy the university has consistently pursued over the years.
Students in Tourism and Travel Management Minor Complete Graduation Thesis Defense
A standout feature of this year’s thesis defense sessions was that 100% of students conducted and presented their theses entirely in English. This not only highlights VKU students’ strong language capabilities but also affirms the effectiveness of the university’s bilingual and internationally integrated training approach. All thesis topics were designed to meet real-world business needs, focusing on key areas such as management, marketing, consumer behavior, e-commerce, logistics, digital communication, and tourism–travel services, with a strong foundation in Industry 4.0 technologies.
Thesis Committees with Industry Participation
A total of 346 graduation thesis topics were successfully defended across 37 academic committees at VKU. The university mobilized a team of experienced faculty members along with the active participation of industry experts and reputable business representatives from Da Nang to serve as reviewers and evaluators. The involvement of businesses not only enhanced the objectivity and professionalism of the defense process, but also strengthened the connection between VKU and the labor market — ensuring the practical relevance and career readiness of its graduates. Notably, this year also marked the first thesis defense for students of two new minors: Digital Tourism and Travel Service Management and Digital Logistics and Supply Chain Management — a remarkable milestone demonstrating the maturity and effectiveness of VKU’s new academic programs.
Many thesis topics received high praise from the evaluation committees for their originality, practical relevance, and potential for real-world application. Speaking on behalf of the business sector, Mr. Le Tan Thanh Tung, Director of VITRACO Transportation, Tourism and Event Company, expressed his strong impression of VKU students’ English presentation skills, confidence, and deep professional knowledge. He affirmed his belief that VKU graduates are fully capable of adapting to and thriving in international working environments.
The success of the thesis defense sessions is not only the result of students’ hard work but also a testament to VKU’s well-structured and modern training strategy. The university consistently focuses on innovating its curriculum, enhancing hands-on internship opportunities, developing students’ comprehensive skill sets, and strengthening sustainable partnerships with businesses. The active involvement of industry partners — through curriculum feedback, internship supervision, guest lectures, and research topic orientation — has played a vital role in bridging the gap between academic training and real-world demands.
With these ongoing efforts, VKU continues to affirm its position as one of the leading public universities in training high-quality human resources capable of international integration in the fields of digital technology and digital economy. This solid foundation empowers VKU students to confidently enter both domestic and international job markets and to assert themselves in the context of global integration.
