VKU exchanges with international volunteer students of Keimyung University, Korea
On the morning of July 14, 2023, the Department of Science, Technology and Cooperation of the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) and the University of Da Nang had a meeting to welcome the staff, lecturers and students from Keimyung University, Korea during a volunteer trip in Vietnam.

Keimyung University was established in 1954, is a prestigious university in Daegu, South Korea; is one of the most beautiful universities in Korea and currently has about 27,000 students studying at, of which about 600 Vietnamese students. Keimyung University always promotes overseas volunteer activities to improve internationalization capacity and moral volunteerism for students. In order to improve the understanding of international development cooperation projects, Keimyung University including 38 members has organized volunteer activities in Vietnam, participating in activities such as improving the educational environment, cultural exchanges…at Tran Thi Ly Primary School, Dien Quang, Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province from July 8 to July 21, 2023.
Within the framework of the program, Keimyung University will have a experience trip, visit and study at VKU, to learn about the project “Improving the capacity of education, training, administration and research in the period of 2022-2027” worth 7.7 million USD from the non-refundable ODA of the Korean Government through KOICA.

At the meeting, VKU shared and introduced an overview of the University’s formation and development based on the friendly diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and South Korea. Over the past years, with the attention of the Government of Vietnam and international organizations, VKU has received active support from the Korean Government through KOICA for ODA projects to develop key projects, strive to make VKU become a training base, scientific research, technology transfer of high quality and prestige of the country in the field of information technology, communication and digital economy; become a Center for connecting and supporting start-ups, cultural and academic exchanges and other friendly exchange activities between Vietnam and South Korea.
Through the meeting, it helped Keimyung University Students, Korea better understand the training activities, better understand the process of implementing projects at VKU. The meeting between the two universities is also an opportunity for the two sides to learn and exchange methods of cooperation and development in the future.
