VKU: Cooperation exchange with King Mongkuts University, Thailand
In order to strengthen and expand the network of training, scientific research in the field of information technology and digital economy among countries in the ASEAN region, during the work trip to attend the Asia Technology Summit and Exhibition – Infocomm Asia 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand, on the afternoon of May 24, 2023, the leaders of the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Da Nang had Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector, Dr. Le Phuoc Cuu Long – Deputy Dean of the Department of Digital Economy & E-Commerce with Dr. Nguyen Ha Huy Cuong, Deputy Director of Software Development Center, the University of Da Nang, had a successful visit and work at King Mongkuts University of Technology North Bangkok, Thailand (KMUTNB).
Representative of KMUTNB University, Dr. Sikan Kulchonchan – Vice Rector and Faculties and Departments’ leaders warmly welcomed the University delegation.
King Monkuts University of Technology North Bangkok is a famous university, in the Top 01 of the best universities in Thailand and Top 03 in Southeast Asia in the field of science and technology, training excellent students for Thailands modern industry (ranked by Times Higher Education, 2013-2014), with a 63-year history, including a central library system, smart study and research space, green architecture campus.
Promoting the advantages and potentials of the two universities and the geographical distance, cultural and human similarities of the two Asian countries, VKU and KMUTNB leaders agreed to implement comprehensive cooperation, in which the commitment to drastically implement in the first phase some of the following contents:
– Exchange of lecturers teaching in English for global programs at VKU and international programs at KMUTNB.
– Exchange of students for internships, study and scientific research, especially in the fields of information technology, computer engineering, logistics, tourism and marketing annually.
– Coordinate to organize academic programs such as workshops, seminars, seminars,… with ASEAN and international stature.
– Especially, for students majoring in Tourism and Digital Travel Management, Logistics will have the opportunity to practice in Thailand to improve professional skills.
Within the framework of cooperation and work, the two universities have had sustainable development orientations, creating a good relationship in the global development strategy in undergraduate and postgraduate training, student and lecture exchange, and scientific research cooperation. This is right with the development orientation of training high-tech human resources to reach the international level of VKU and KMUTNB.
