VKU Collaborates with VECOM and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to Organize a Training Program – Enhancing Human Resources for Sustainable E-Commerce
On the morning of October 8, 2025, Vietnam–Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang, in collaboration with the E-Commerce and Digital Economy Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) and the Vietnam E-Commerce Association (VECOM), successfully organized the “Training Program for Lecturers in E-Commerce and Digital Economy 2025” under the theme “Human Resources for Sustainable E-Commerce.” The event was part of the project “Developing Lectures, Organizing Training Programs and E-Commerce Events to Enhance Human Resource Quality and Market Development”, contributing to the implementation of the National Strategy for Digital Economy and Digital Society Development to 2025. The program aims to integrate e-commerce knowledge and digital skills into higher education, promoting the application of digital technology in teaching and practice.

The event gathered distinguished guests, including Mr. Tran Van Trong, Secretary General of VECOM; Ms. Tran Bich Ngoc, Deputy Head of the Policy Division, E-Commerce and Digital Economy Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade); and Dr. Tran The Son, Vice Rector of VKU. The program also welcomed more than 70 lecturers and faculty leaders from universities and colleges across Da Nang, as well as over 100 VKU students interested in the field.

During the opening remarks, Dr. Tran The Son warmly welcomed all delegates, speakers, and participants, emphasizing the crucial role of higher education in preparing high-quality human resources for the e-commerce industry. He reaffirmed VKU’s commitment to innovating its curriculum, strengthening cooperation with government agencies and enterprises, and incorporating practical content and digital applications into teaching. He also expressed his hope that the program would serve as a bridge for educational institutions to share resources, experiences, and jointly develop suitable teaching modules that meet market demands.

Mr. Tran Van Trong, Secretary General of VECOM, in his keynote speech, expressed strong support for interdisciplinary and inter-institutional training initiatives that address the growing need for skilled human resources in e-commerce amid deep digital transformation. He highly appreciated the joint efforts of VKU, the E-Commerce and Digital Economy Agency, and VECOM in organizing the program, encouraging universities and lecturers to seize this opportunity to update teaching content and methods, enhance enterprise connections, and equip students with practical skills, innovative thinking, and adaptability to the fast-changing e-commerce landscape.

The training program featured three thematic sessions focusing on the National Master Plan for E-Commerce Development (2026–2030); the E-Commerce Law, reflecting on the 2016–2025 phase to identify limitations and propose new legal frameworks to ensure transparency and safety for the market; E-Commerce Training Collaboration among universities, where educators shared experiences in program design, interdisciplinary integration, and industry linkage to improve students’ practical skills and professional competencies. Especially, a special panel discussion was also held on university–industry collaboration models to strengthen internships, hands-on training, and competency-based evaluation.

The “Training Program for Lecturers in E-Commerce and Digital Economy 2025” at VKU marked a significant step toward enhancing teaching capacity and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration among academia, enterprises, and government bodies. The event concretized the goals of the National Digital Economy Development Strategy to 2025, setting a clear direction for training, standardizing curricula, and developing high-quality human resources in e-commerce. In the coming period, the organizers will continue to expand cooperation, develop teaching materials, and implement practical training courses, contributing to knowledge dissemination and building a nationwide network of e-commerce and digital economy educators.
