VKU collaborates with the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai Province to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW: Promoting the application of artificial intelligence and digital transformation in education.
In the context of the recently issued Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on December 22, 2024, by the Politburo regarding the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, the education sector across the country is gradually realizing the strategic contents that have been identified. Seizing this trend, on the afternoon of April 20, 2025, Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang, in cooperation with the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai Province, organized a specialized training program for the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW: Promoting the application of artificial intelligence and digital transformation in the education sector of Quang Ngai Province for teaching and educational management in the region.
Overview of the training program
Attending the event from the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai Province were Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thai – Provincial Party Member, Director of the Department; Deputy Directors: Tran Sy, Nguyen Van Tam, Vu Thi Lien Huong, and leaders of functional departments of the Department; leaders of the Department of Education and Training in cities, districts, and towns; leaders of primary, secondary, and high schools; directors of vocational education centers in the province. From VKU, there were Associate Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector, and leaders of the departments, faculties, and centers of the university.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thai expressed his sincere thanks to Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology for collaborating with the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai Province to organize the program for implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW. He emphasized the crucial role of the Resolution in identifying digital transformation and artificial intelligence as two strategic driving forces to fundamentally and comprehensively renew education and training. To ensure that the local education sector is not left behind, accelerating digital transformation and applying technology, especially AI in teaching and management, is an urgent requirement. The collaboration with VKU, a pioneer in the digital technology field, is a practical step to help educators in Quang Ngai Province directly access new technologies and tools, gradually form a technological mindset and practical implementation skills in schools. He also affirmed and committed to facilitating the replication of effective models, making digital applications an essential part of teaching and learning activities.

On behalf of the collaborating unit, Associate Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap, Rector of the university, expressed VKU’s honor to cooperate with the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai Province to organize this program for the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Central Government on developing science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. With a mission to train high-quality human resources in information technology, communications, and the digital economy, VKU recognizes its role not only as a training and research center but also as a partner accompanying localities – particularly in Central Vietnam – in the journey of digital transformation. VKU is always ready to share knowledge, transfer technology, organize training courses, support the development of digital management systems for schools, and especially promote knowledge about artificial intelligence (AI) – a groundbreaking technology. The implementation of Resolution 57 is not only a political task but also VKU’s commitment to contributing to the transformation of national education in the digital age. Through specific, practical, and sustainable cooperation programs, VKU is ready to become a reliable partner to support training, consulting, and long-term accompaniment with schools in applying technology and enhancing digital skills for teachers and administrators.

At the event, experts from VKU presented two in-depth topics:
- Digital transformation in education – Current situation and solutions, presented by Dr. Nguyen Quang Vu – Head of Training Department at VKU, providing an overview and practical solutions suited to the local conditions.
- Applying AI in teaching and educational management, presented by Dr. Nguyen Huu Nhat Minh – Deputy Head of the Department of Science Technology and International Cooperation, sharing how modern AI tools like ChatGPT, MagicSchool, Quizizz, Lumen5, etc., support teachers in designing lessons, generating automated exams, personalizing learning, and effectively managing schools.
The topics not only provided knowledge but also had high applicability, helping attendees clearly visualize how digital transformation is not a distant future but a present reality in every lesson if properly applied.
With a spirit of action for innovation and development, the program opened up practical directions for Quang Ngai’s education sector to gradually realize Resolution 57-NQ/TW with specific, effective, and sustainable technological solutions. As one of the pioneers in research, training, and technology transfer, VKU continues to affirm its role as a strategic partner and a reliable companion of Central and Central Highlands provinces in the digital transformation journey of the education sector and commits to promoting knowledge transfer programs, AI application training in management and teaching, and building smart education models, contributing to creating a generation of digital citizens with global thinking, creativity, and strong integration capacity. This is also a specific and practical action to realize the goal of rapid and sustainable development of the country through innovation and technology, as stated in Resolution 57.
