VKU collaborates with HIDECO to enhance Japanese–Vietnamese bilingual training for students, especially in the digital economy fields
On the afternoon of July 31st, 2025, Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang, hosted and held a working session with HIDECO Human Resource Development Investment Joint Stock Company to discuss cooperation in implementing a Japanese–Vietnamese bilingual training program for students in the Digital Economy sector.

In his speech, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of VKU expressed his pleasure in welcoming the leadership of HIDECO Human Resource Development Investment JSC to visit and explore cooperation opportunities with the university. He provided an overview of VKU – a public university under the University of Danang, currently training nearly 7,000 students across 19 majors/specializations in fields such as information technology, digital economy, information security, semiconductor circuit design, digital communication, etc. Each year, VKU enrolls about 1,500 students, with admission scores consistently maintained at a high level of 24 points or above, demonstrating the quality and social trust in the university.
VKU aims to develop its training model in close alignment with businesses, quickly updating new technology trends, promoting practical training, soft skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and professional attitudes. One of VKU’s highlights is the effective implementation of bilingual training programs in English-Vietnamese, Japanese-Vietnamese, and Korean-Vietnamese, equipping students with the ability to integrate and work in international environments. Notably, VKU is closely cooperating with NiX Education to implement a Japanese –Vietnamese bilingual training program for students in Information Technology and Semiconductor Circuit Design majors. This pioneering training model not only helps students improve their Japanese proficiency but also enables them to access in-depth knowledge and career skills that meet the requirements of high-tech enterprises, especially in the Japanese market. Based on the success of this program, VKU hopes to expand the Japanese –Vietnamese bilingual training cooperation to the Digital Economy field, including majors such as Business Administration, Marketing, IT Project Management, Digital Tourism and Travel Management, and Digital Logistics and Supply Chain Management, through the companionship and support of HIDECO.

Representing HIDECO, Mr. Le Minh Duc – Director of the company expressed sincere thanks to the university’s leadership for their warm welcome and open sharing, and affirmed the desire to promote a strong and sustainable cooperative relationship between the two parties. HIDECO is a company specializing in training, supplying, and developing high-quality human resources for the Japanese market. Established in 2016, it is headquartered in Da Nang with representative offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. With over 10 years of experience in study abroad consulting, engineer training, and overseas labor supply, HIDECO has affirmed its reputation as one of the leading human resource training units in Central Vietnam for markets such as Japan, Germany, Australia, and South Korea. The company has built a comprehensive training ecosystem that combines language training, life skills, professional skills, and internship programs at international enterprises. In particular, the company operates the MOMIMO Language Center, specializing in Japanese training for interns, engineers, and international students. With an extensive network of connections with Japanese IT companies operating in Vietnam, HIDECO hopes to become a strategic partner of VKU in enhancing foreign language proficiency, professional skills, and expanding international study and work opportunities for the university’s students.
Through the discussion, HIDECO proposed to provide free Japanese language training for 100 VKU students each year (valued at approximately 500 million VND), aiming to reach levels N5, N4, and N3. In addition, HIDECO will support sending students for internships in Japan, assist with graduate studies, provide training on working skills in Japanese enterprises (such as 5S, Horensho, Kaizen…), and commit to job placement both domestically and internationally. The company also pledged to attract Japanese enterprises to invest in equipment, support training, and introduce job opportunities for VKU students.
At the end of the session, VKU and HIDECO agreed to soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and jointly implement specific activities in the 2025–2026 academic year, aiming to expand the scale and quality of Japanese –Vietnamese bilingual training in the Digital Economy field. This cooperation will create a globally oriented learning and career development environment for students. It marks an important step forward in affirming VKU’s pioneering position in training high-quality human resources for international integration and readiness to conquer the global labor market.
