VKU Campus Tour 2026: A Hands-on Experience Journey – Shaping the Future in the Digital Era

On March 28–29, 2026, Vietnam–Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Da Nang, organized and welcomed more than 1,500 high school students from various schools across Da Nang City to participate in the VKU Campus Tour 2026. This annual event, held at VKU, aims to provide high school students with the opportunity to experience and explore the university environment, as well as to orient their future career paths, with the support and partnership of Hanwha Life and the ChorogUsan For Children Foundation from South Korea.

VKU proudly stands as a leading public university specializing in education and in-depth research in Digital Technology and Digital Economy, operating in accordance with international university standards. At VKU, there is a strong and highly qualified faculty team in the Central and Central Highlands regions, with 100% of lecturers holding postgraduate degrees, including nearly 70 PhDs and Assoc. Prof. PhDs trained in countries with advanced education systems. The university’s admission scores have remained stable over the past three consecutive years at 23–24 points, ranking among the highest in the Central region and nationwide. Notably, the proportion of students from the top 20% of high-performing high school graduates enrolling at VKU has been steadily increasing. This contributes to building a student community with strong capabilities, creative thinking, and good moral qualities—forming a solid foundation and motivation for students to achieve outstanding results in academics, scientific research, as well as in national and international academic competitions. Currently, VKU has a training scale of nearly 8,000 students.

VKU always pays great attention to and creates the best possible conditions for its students by maintaining affordable tuition fees, along with various admission policies such as direct admission and scholarship support. Most importantly, VKU offers modern training programs and teaching methods that are regularly updated to meet international standards. Its majors and minors are designed to meet the demand for high-quality human resources in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including: Information Technology, Game Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Automotive Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Information Security, Semiconductor Integrated Circuit Design, Communication Technology, Digital Art and Design, Marketing, Financial Technology, Business Administration, Digital Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Digital Tourism and Travel Service Management, and IT Project Management. In 2026, VKU introduces four new minors: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Robotics Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductor and Testing, and Digital Media and Entertainment. Notably, with its distinctive training model, students learn through a project-based learning approach and hands-on, practical experiences (“learning by doing”). The university also enhances bilingual education in English–Vietnamese, Japanese–Vietnamese, and Korean–Vietnamese. Students engage in experiential learning through various academic activities, competitions, and enriching platforms that foster knowledge, skills, creativity, and practical application from the very first year. These include competitions such as Robocar Innovation, Best Web Design (BWD), the Spring Code Challenge programming contest, Program: Incubation of innovation and start- up ideas” (PISI), the English Talent Contest, The Cybersecurity Challenge – DDC, and many major academic playgrounds both domestically and internationally. All of these opportunities help VKU students develop and refine the essential skills needed to become future engineers and graduates.

During their experience at VKU, students had the opportunity to gain deeper insights into the university, including its academic programs and specializations, facilities, learning equipment, laboratory and practice systems, as well as accommodation such as dormitories. In particular, students showed great interest in the 2026 admission information, which features many “hot” majors aligned with current trends, along with affordable tuition fees ranging from 8.5 to 11.5 million VND per semester. The university’s admission benchmarks over the years and its flexible admission methods with many outstanding advantages have attracted significant attention, discussion, and interest from the students.

In addition, students had the opportunity to tour the university campus, featuring modern and well-developed infrastructure funded by the governments of Vietnam and South Korea with a total investment of over VND 1,000 billion, spread across a spacious area of nearly 23.6 hectares. The campus includes standardized lecture halls, working spaces, and a system of 60 laboratories and practice rooms equipped with 2,200 networked computers, along with equipment for automation control and embedded systems to support students’ learning and research needs. Notably, there are 19 internationally standardized laboratories and research facilities equipped with advanced technologies funded by the Korean government, such as the Semiconductor and Smart Technology Hub (VKU-SSTH), VKU Fintech Hub, the Experimental and New Technology Research Lab, the Smart Korean Language Classroom (Klass), and the Vietnam – Japan Innovation & Technology Space (VJSpace).

With the educational philosophy of Humanity – Dedication – Liberation, along with a variety of practical experiential activities for high school students, VKU aims to create opportunities for them to gain a deeper understanding of the university environment, while also contributing to career orientation and guidance at the high school level. The experiential program carries profound humanistic values, as it is thoughtfully organized with fully free services, including transportation and lunch support. Prior to this, VKU has also conducted many meaningful programs that help strengthen the connection among students, university students, parents, and the institution.
