In accordance with the 2025 work program, on the afternoon of January 27, 2026, after attending the online conference held by the Party Committee of Da Nang University to review Party building work in 2025 and implement directions and tasks for 2026, the Party Committee of Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), Da Nang University, organized its own conference to review Party building work in 2025 and implement directions and tasks for 2026. The conference aimed to comprehensively assess the results achieved in Party building work, while clearly identifying key tasks and major solutions for the coming period.

Conference Overview

Attending the conference were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Member of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of Da Nang University and Rector of the university, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh – Secretary of the Party Committee, members of the Party Committee Executive Board, representatives of affiliated Party branches, the Trade Union Executive Board, the Youth Union, and more than 150 Party members of the university’s Party Committee.

Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh – Secretary of the university’s Party Committee, emphasized the important role of Party building work within the university’s Party organization. In 2025, despite numerous difficulties and challenges, under the guidance and leadership of the Party Committee and its Standing Committee, the Board of Directors of the University of Da Nang, and the close coordination of member units within the University of Da Nang, along with the tradition of unity and the dedication of all Party members, staff, employees, and students, the university continued to maintain stability and achieve further development.

The concluding report at the conference indicated that in 2025, under the direct leadership and guidance of the Party Committee of Da Nang University, the university’s Party Committee promoted the spirit of unity and cohesion, proactively implemented all aspects of Party building work, and achieved many positive and comprehensive results. The university’s Party Committee currently comprises 6 subordinate Party branches with a total of 164 Party members, including 60 student Party members, thereby continuing to affirm its role as the political nucleus in providing comprehensive leadership and direction over all activities of the university.

Political and ideological work continued to receive special attention from the university’s Party Committee and was implemented in a serious and comprehensive manner. Resolutions, directives, and conclusions issued by the Central Committee, the Da Nang City Party Committee, and the Party Committee of Da Nang University were fully and promptly disseminated to cadres, Party members, staff, and students, and were closely linked to the development of action programs aligned with the university’s development goals. The study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics, and style have been further intensified in connection with the implementation of the Politburo’s Regulation No. 144-QĐ/TW on revolutionary ethical standards in the new era. This has contributed to enhancing the sense of responsibility, exemplary conduct, and pioneering role of cadres and Party members, thereby fostering strong unity in both awareness and action across the entire Party Committee.

Building on a strong political foundation, the university’s Party Committee has provided comprehensive and effective leadership in implementing the university’s key tasks in personnel organization, training and enrollment, quality assurance in education, scientific research, international cooperation, and student affairs. In 2025, enrollment achieved positive results with a 100% enrollment rate. The university has continued to open new majors and specialized training programs to meet the growing demand for high-quality human resources. Quality assurance in education has been implemented systematically, highlighted by the university’s first institutional self-assessment conducted in accordance with Circular No. 01/2024/TT-BGDĐT, in which 100% of standards and criteria were met. Scientific research and innovation activities have recorded significant progress, reflected in the increasing number of scientific publications and the effective implementation of numerous research projects at various levels. VKU students have also achieved many high prizes in domestic and international scientific research and entrepreneurship competitions. Notably, VKU has further affirmed its pioneering role and academic prestige by organizing, initiating, and hosting major scientific events such as the first CITA 2025 International Scientific Conference in Cambodia, the DeFi 2025 Conference on Digital Financial Technology, and the VIMC 2025 International Mathematical Olympiad. At the same time, Party organization building has been strengthened, with regular Party branch activities maintained and the quality of thematic activities gradually improved. The development of Party members, particularly among students, has continued to receive attention, contributing to enhancing the leadership role and fighting capacity of the Party Committee within the university environment.

Based on the achievements attained and a frank assessment of existing shortcomings and limitations, the conference unanimously agreed on the key directions and tasks for 2026. Accordingly, the university’s Party Committee will continue to improve the quality of political and ideological work, build a clean and strong Party organization, strengthen inspection and supervision while maintaining Party discipline and order, and promote the development of Party members. At the same time, it will lead the effective implementation of strategic tasks in training, scientific research, digital transformation, enterprise cooperation, and international integration.

At the 2025 Party building work review conference, the Party Committee of Da Nang University recognized and presented certificates of merit to the Party Branch of Administrative Division 3 and 24 Party members of the university’s Party Committee for their outstanding performance in 2025.

The 2025 Party building work review conference served as an important occasion for the university’s Party Committee to reflect on its journey, strengthen unity and consensus across the Party Committee, and create momentum and a solid foundation for VKU to continue its strong and sustainable development, thereby contributing positively to the overall development of Da Nang University in the new phase.
