Students from Ngu Hanh Son High School, Da Nang visit and experience the learning environment at VKU: Touching the dream of digital technology
On the morning of May 17, 2025, the atmosphere at Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang, was more vibrant and lively than ever as the school welcomed more than 120 students from Ngu Hanh Son High School, Da Nang City, to visit, experience, and learn about the university learning environment. The program serves as a bridge to help high school students access a modern university setting early on, thereby gaining clear orientation for their academic journey and future career choices – especially in this era of booming digital technology and artificial intelligence.

During the visit, students were given an overview presentation about VKU – one of the leading public universities specializing in information technology, communications, and digital economy training and research in the Central – Central Highlands region and across the country. With a training model that closely integrates academic learning and practical experience, VKU is becoming an ideal destination for young people passionate about technology and aspiring to thrive in a globalized environment.

The students were not only introduced to in-demand majors such as Integrated Circuit Design, Artificial Intelligence, Information Security, Fintech, Digital Tourism, etc., but also to attractive scholarship policies, internship and employment opportunities at major enterprises, and a multicultural learning environment. This includes bilingual English-Vietnamese, Japanese-Vietnamese, and Korean-Vietnamese programs, as well as international joint training programs like 2+2 and 3+1 with universities in the UK and Australia.

A key highlight of the program was the actual tour of VKU’s modern facilities and infrastructure. Students had the chance to explore firsthand innovative learning and creative spaces, such as: The New Technology Lab, where VKU students implement projects in AI, IoT, and Robotics; VKU Fintech Hub, the pioneering digital finance training center in Central Vietnam for the Fintech field; Semiconductor and Smart Technology Hub (SSTH), which features a professional training system based on Synopsys standards to develop IC design engineers – considered the core foundation of the digital age; The Smart Korean Language Classroom (Klass), equipped with modern digital interactive technology, where students study bilingually and prepare for international integration. In addition, students visited and experienced the dormitory area, which includes three 5-story blocks with a capacity of nearly 4,000 residents, self-managed kitchens, canteens, supermarkets, and indoor and outdoor sports areas. These facilities support students’ living needs and help develop life skills, contributing to the comprehensive development of both intellect and character.
Not only witnessing modern academic facilities, but the students also had the opportunity to interact with VKU lecturers and students, listening to sincere stories about student life, learning journeys, scientific research, and dynamic innovation activities within the VKU community.
The visit and experience provided Ngu Hanh Son High School students not only with the chance to explore a modern learning environment but also helped with career orientation and inspired their passion and aspiration to conquer knowledge in the digital age. With the mission of training high-quality human resources and providing an internationally standardized learning environment, VKU is the launchpad that helps today’s youth realize their dreams in digital technology and reach greater heights in the future.
