Opening the official survey to assess university-level training program’s quality of the Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology, the University of Da Nang
On August 12, 2023, the Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Da Nang in collaboration with the Center for Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi held the opening official survey to assess university-level training program’s quality according to the Ministry of Education and Training accreditation standards.

On the side of the external assessment team, there were Prof. Ph.D. Banh Tien Long – Head Team; Dr. To Thi Thu Huong – Secretary; Dr. Nguyen Hoang Oanh – Permanent member; members: Prof. Ph.D. Hoang Ba Thinh, Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Tam, Dr. Vu Viet Binh; Dr. Nguyen Hoang Viet, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Nguyen Van Long, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Nguyen Van Dinh and MA. Vu Thi Mai Anh – Supervisor; on the side of the University of Da Nang, there was Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Dinh Thanh Viet – Head of Education Quality Assurance Department. On the part of VKU, there was Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Huynh Cong Phap – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector; Dr. Tran The Son – Vice Rector with Self-Assessment Council members, units leaders, all relevant staff, lecturers and students attended.

On behalf of the Center for Education Accreditation – VNU and the assessment team, Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien – Director has highlighted the importance of external assessment, affirming that the main purpose of educational accreditation is to ensure the achievement of certain standards in training and constantly improve, enhance the quality of training, meet the requirements of human resource users and ensure the rights of learners. Thereby, Dr. Tran Thi Thu Hien acknowledged the positive contributions from the University, initiative in implementing self-assessment, and absorbed the proposal to amend, comment and supplement the evidence from the recent preliminary survey. With fairness and professionalism, the assessment team will perform the responsibilities and tasks in order to give more comments to the reviewing activities, adjusting and evaluating the quality of training programs according to domestic and international standards.

According to the plan, the official assessment survey at VKU will take place from August 12 to August 15, 2023, from the results after the external assessment, the University expects to receive many comments, evaluate the limitations and shortcomings, thereby continuing efforts in education quality assurance and accreditation, clearly demonstrating the role and responsibility in ensuring and improving the quality of the Universitys curriculum.
