On the afternoon of October 10, 2025, Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), The University of Danang, in collaboration with Mixel Vietnam, organized a seminar titled “Step into the Future”. The event aimed to provide students with practical industry insights, career orientation, and direct interaction with leading experts in the field of semiconductor chip design.

Overview of the seminar

Representing Mixel Vietnam was Mr. Bui Long Thanh – AMS Senior Manager. From VKU, attendees included Dr. Tran The Son – Vice Rector, along with faculty and department leaders, and more than 200 students and lecturers in the field of semiconductor chip design.

In his opening speech, Dr. Tran The Son – Vice Rector of VKU – expressed his sincere appreciation to Mixel Vietnam for collaborating with the university to organize such a practical and meaningful activity for students majoring in semiconductor chip design. He emphasized that VKU is currently one of the leading institutions in digital technology and digital economy education in Central Vietnam, the Central Highlands, and across the country, with nearly 8,000 students, including about 200 majoring in semiconductor chip design. With a strategic orientation toward contributing to the development of Vietnam’s semiconductor industry – one of the nation’s 11 key technologies – VKU considers the training of competent, creative engineers capable of mastering advanced technologies a core mission. The university is focusing on building a comprehensive ecosystem of training, research, and innovation, creating an environment where students can combine theory with practice, gain real-world experience with businesses, and strengthen specialized skills. The collaboration between VKU and Mixel Vietnam represents a practical and valuable step, providing students with opportunities to engage with industry experts, gain hands-on insights, and open pathways for internships and future careers in the high-tech sector.

Keynote speakers shared useful experiences

The seminar “Step into the Future” provided students with a comprehensive overview of the semiconductor industry, covering topics from emerging technology trends and the global supply chain to specific job requirements and career opportunities in this field. Experts from Mixel Vietnam shared a wealth of practical knowledge, helping students gain a deeper understanding of the chip design process, the essential skills of semiconductor engineers, and career development pathways in a high-tech working environment. The lively discussion and Q&A session reflected the enthusiasm, initiative, and eagerness to learn of VKU students – the future engineers of Vietnam’s semiconductor industry.

This seminar continued the series of academic and career-oriented activities that VKU has been consistently implementing in the field of semiconductor chip design. In the coming time, VKU will further enhance specialized training programs, applied research activities, and academic forums, creating an environment for students to develop professional skills, foster creative thinking, and prepare to join the high-quality workforce of Vietnam’s growing semiconductor industry.
