In the face of globalization and the explosion of science, technology, and innovation, Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) has implemented a Master’s training program in Information Technology with a research-oriented approach. The program focuses on in-depth research areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Systems, Communication Technology and Information Security, Embedded Systems, and Semiconductor Microchips.

Students participating in the program must go through a rigorous selection exam that comprehensively evaluates their foreign language proficiency, academic expertise, and research orientation to ensure high-quality admissions. After being admitted, those who meet the recruitment criteria will be hired as teaching assistants, receiving a salary and other benefits similar to VKU staff. Additionally, eligible students will receive full financial support, including 100% tuition coverage and a monthly living allowance of 2,900,000 VND from the ODA-KOICA project, along with free accommodation in the university dormitory.

During their studies and research, students are given the opportunity to participate in scientific projects with their supervisors and receive financial support from research funds. In particular, the master’s program at VKU also opens up paid international internship opportunities according to cooperation agreements with partners, helping students accumulate practical experience and develop a global professional network.

One of the important criteria for graduation is that students must have at least one international publication. Right from the beginning of their studies, each student is assigned an experienced lecturer to guide them in developing their research projects in a suitable direction. VKU aims that after the first year of study, students will have at least one article published in a prestigious international conference or journal, creating a solid foundation for a research career.

To maximize support for the learning process, VKU arranges a separate, modern working space at the Digital Science and Technology Institute, creating favorable conditions for students to focus on research. In addition, the school regularly invites leading domestic and international professors and experts to participate in teaching and research consulting, helping students access the latest advances in science and technology.
