From March to June 2025, Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), University of Danang welcomed and mentored 5 students from ESEO – École Supérieure d’Électronique de l’Ouest (France) for internships as part of the international student exchange program at eSTI – the Digital Science and Technology Institute.

ESEO interns and instructors

During their 3-month internship at VKU, ESEO students participated in research and application projects under the direct supervision of VKU’s experienced instructors. Specifically, the projects undertaken by the students included the following topics:

• “Developing Password Manager Application” – A friendly and secure password management program conducted by student OMONT Cyrielle under the supervision of Dr. Hoang Huu Duc.
• “Automation of Security Testing” – An automated pentest process of websites and a security assessment of the VKU website, conducted by student ALLOUCHE Shaï under the supervision of Dr. Dang Quang Hien.
• “Search and Rescue with UAV Swarms” – A solution for coordinating multiple UAVs in object search tasks based on reinforcement learning and simulation developed by student COELHO Jean under the supervision of MSc. Phan Thi Quynh Huong.
• “Personalized AI Assistants for Elderly People” – Personalized virtual assistant solution designed to extract and manage personal information, interests, events, health-related data for the elderly, developed by students BECMEUR Erwann and BLOT Martin under the supervision of Dr. Nguyen Huu Nhat Minh.

ESEO interns presented their internship reports at VKU

The program not only helps students develop professional skills in key areas such as information security, artificial intelligence (AI), UAV technology and application development, but also offers them the opportunity to directly experience VKU’s modern and international academic environment.
