On the afternoon of September 15, 2023, the Talk Show “Cyber Threats in the modern world” attracted a large number of VKU’s students to participate in directly as well as on livestream on the VKU’s Fanpage, which proves the popularity of speaker Ngo Minh Hieu – nicknamed “Hieu PC”. The speaker was considered as one of the world’s super hackers by the USA.

Attending the talk show, there was Dr. Tran The Son – Vice Rector of the university, along with representatives of leaders from Faculties, Departments and Centers and more than 300 VKU’s students at the hall and many students on livestream. In particular, there was the presence of speaker Ngo Minh Hieu (Hieu PC) – Expert of Vietnam National Cyber Security Center.

Speaking at the talk show, Dr. Tran The Son – Vice Rector of the university emphasized that confidentiality and cyber security is urgent currently, the cyber security situation in Vietnam and in the world is at a very alarming level when the number of incidents increases significantly. VKU is currently one of three universities in the country training Cyber Security for high-quality human resources to meet the needs of the society. This makes the difference in the training programs.

At the talk show, Mr. “Hieu PC” talked about the confidentiality and cyber security situation in cyberspace in the country and around the world, violations, questions and concerns, as well as basic techniques. in handling situations of protecting personal information in cyberspace. VKU’s students also accumulate practical knowledge and experience to help prevent cyber attacks such as: selecting the data that they want to share (phone numbers, family photos, addresses, etc.); how viruses take up resources; warning for risky log – in devices; how hackers attack businesses, other criminals, etc.

In addition to knowledge, Mr. “Hieu PC” also demonstrated some common situations when hackers attack users in cyberspace and gave some mini games with attractive gifts for VKU’s students.

Hopefully, through useful advice and inspirational stories from speaker Hieu PC, VKU’s students will always light up their belief and passion for the “True Hacker” profession.
