On the morning of June 23, 2023, Information and Communications Publishing House, Ministry of Information and Communications (IC) held a Collaborators Conference in the Central Region – Central Highlands 2023.Attending the conference, on the side of the Ministry of Information and Communications, there were Mr. Nguyen Nguyen – Director of the Publishing Department, Printing and Issue, Mr. Tran Chi Dat – Director, Editor-in-Chief of the Information and Communications Publishing House, and representatives leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications in Da Nang, the IC Departments, universities and colleges in the Central – Central Highlands; On the side of the Vietnam – Korea University of Information Technology and Communications, there were Dr. Tran The Son – University Vice Rector with departments and centers’ leaders.

Within the framework of the Conference, under the witness of the Publishing Department, Printing and Issue and representatives of the IC Department, universities and colleges in the Central – Central Highlands region, the leaders of the Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology and the IC Publishing House officially signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance and promote the effectiveness of the two units’ resources and experiences in improving the quality of training through the development, publication and issue of books, curriculum, lesson, monographs, reference books for teaching, learning and research in the form of printed and ebooks. Thereby, making the most of the database of curriculum, reference materials on the online system of the two units.

VKU signed MoU cooperation agreement with Information and Communications Publishing House

After signing the cooperation immediately, the two sides will specify the key contents and prioritize annual resources such as editing and publishing textbooks, reference materials, scientific annual, etc. in the form of print and e-book. Implement the e-library on an online platform to meet the teaching, learning and research needs at the University.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Tran The Son – VKU Vice Rector expressed his joy and excitement at the cooperation between VKU and IC Publishing House. At the same time, VKU is a public university for training, scientific research, technology transfer, start-up activities in the field of information technology, communication, digital economy and related majors according to the applied university model with the smart and modern environment and advanced management methods, providing high-quality human resources for international integration and the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

Currently, VKU has 14 majors in engineering and bachelors degrees; with a strong teaching staff, a student population of 5,000 and an orientation of 8,000 students by 2025. Dr. Tran The Son believes, after this signing ceremony, the two sides will have many opportunities to implement effectively in building and perfecting textbooks and reference materials in accordance with teaching requirements, standardizing high quality training and in order to meet the teaching, learning and research needs of lecturers and students.

The cooperation between the two sides also enhances the innovation spirit of the education and training sector, meeting the diverse needs of the education 4.0 era. Leveraging technology in publishing e-textbooks will bring benefits to students learning, help to save resources and environmental friendliness.
