On September 6-7, 2024, Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang, successfully hosted the orientation activities for the incoming class of 2024 Freshmen. This event marked the beginning of the students’ academic journey and development, providing them with essential information, regulations, and guidance to seamlessly integrate into university life.

During the orientation sessions, representatives from various faculties, administrative departments, and student organizations provided an overview of the university’s mission, vision, and educational philosophy, which emphasizes Humanistic, Service-Oriented, and Liberal Arts education. Students were instructed on academic regulations, examination procedures, and how to use the training and e-learning systems. They were also introduced to the bilingual training programs in English-Vietnamese, Japanese-Vietnamese, and Korean-Vietnamese, as well as information related to scientific research activities, dormitory regulations, and student management.

The freshmen visited the university’s modern facilities, including the library, research and innovation spaces, and practical and experimental labs. They also visited lecture halls and had the opportunity to interact directly with various academic, cultural, and sports clubs to facilitate their learning and research experiences.

The orientation not only provided essential information but also allowed new students to meet peers, faculty members, and acclimate to their new learning environment. Through interactive activities and discussions, students were encouraged to express their thoughts and address any concerns regarding their studies and life at VKU.

Additionally, students were briefed on campus regulations, security, and safety, with a focus on university conduct rules. This foundation is crucial for fostering self-discipline, responsibility, and active participation in both academic and extracurricular activities.
