On the afternoon of January 19, 2024, Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), The University of Danang held a conference to summarize the 2023 enrollment campaign and deploy the 2024 enrollment plan.

Overview of the conference

Attending the Conference, there was the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Party Committee Secretary, Rector of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council, along with Leaders of Departments, Faculty, Centers and more than 200 officials and lecturers from the university.

Speaking at the Conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap was pleased to share the achievements in 2023, marking VKU’s outstanding development after 4 years of establishment, with outstanding achievements, especially in enrollment: Achieving 100% admission rate with 1,500 targets for 14 majors. With nearly 20,000 applications registered for admission in all methods: through the online admission and virtual filtering system of the Ministry of Education and Training, VKU entrance benchmark based on the form of reviewing high school academic result of 24-26 points and the score of high school graduation exam of 22-25 points, the average admission score in 2023 (~24) increased by 02 points compared to 2022 and increased compared to 2020 by 6.0 points (the first year of admission with the average score of ~18); In particular, the number of candidates admitted directly to the university increased very quickly, more than 400 students, accounting for nearly 30% of the total 1,538 enrolled students, bringing the total student number of the University to nearly 6,000 students.

This is the result of the efforts and perseverance with the determination to achieve the highest goal in the 2023 enrollment season made by the leaders, along with all officials, employees, lecturers and students of the university. To achieve the above successful results, VKU has been persistently building and affirming the position and role of the new academic institution in the process of establishment and development, affirming the leading prestigious academic institution in the country, nurturing the desire to reach an international level; lifting VKU to a high-class and a dream university which is ideal for students in the Central region – Central Highlands and the whole country.

Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap shared: ” There are still many challenges as well as urgent key tasks that need to be quickly implemented.” Therefore, the entire university’s staff, lecturers, and students are even more determined to unite and work together to successfully carry out many important tasks with a very high spirit and responsibility, to be worthy for the expectations of the society.

Following the successful enrollment season of 2023, in 2024, VKU continues to maintain enrollment of 1,500 students for 16 majors (including 4 new majors in Marketing, Information Security, Communication Technology and Semiconductor IC Design), with 5 admission methods: direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; Separate admission according to university regulations; Admission based on the scores of Ability Evaluation Exam by the National University of Ho Chi Minh City, admission based on academic and exam results of the high school graduation exam. On the other hand, VKU continues to maintain admission policies, financial support for learners with the most preferential tuition currently expected from 6.4 million VND – 7.5 million VND/semester and many other financial support from 50% – 100% of tuition from the first 01th to 04th semesters of the course for candidates who meet the prescribed conditions and standards.

Starting the 2024 admission season, VKU will continue its direct and online admission consulting strategy on social networking channels through the VKU fanpage with 24/7 operating time to advise and answer questions for candidates who want to learn about and wish to enroll in the university.
