On May 24, 2024, Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), The University of Da Nang organized VKU Job Fair 2024 at the campus of the Digital Science and Technology Institute (eSTI). This is an important event to affirm the position and the training quality of the university in recent years. VKU coordinates with reputable domestic and foreign organizations and businesses to celebrate VKU Job Fair 2024 to create conditions and opportunities for businesses and students to exchange and improve knowledge as well as skills, and to introduce the internship and job opportunities to students.

Overview of the Opening Ceremony – VKU Job Fair 2024

Attending VKU Job Fair 2024, there were representatives of 26 leaders from domestic and foreign businesses in the fields of information technology, communications and digital economy. On VKU’s side, there was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh – Chairman of the University Council, Board of Management, Leaders from the departments, and students.

Giving the speech at the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector of the university was pleased to welcome nearly 30 businesses at VKU Job Fair 2024. The event contributes to the enhanced exchanges and connections between the University and Businesses, between Businesses and students; Creates the opportunities for students to improve knowledge and skills as well as to set orientation for internships and jobs in the present and future. VKU is also proud to be a key provider of human resources in the fields of Information Technology, Communications and Digital Economy in the Central Region with a current total scale of 6,000 students. Each year will have been providing the labor market with more than 1,000 quality Engineers and Bachelors since 2024.

VKU was established in 2020, with an annual enrollment target of 1,500 with an average entrance score of 24 points for 14 majors in the fields of information technology, communications and digital economy. VKU has nearly 6,000 students and aims to reach 8,000 – 9,000 undergraduate and graduate students by 2025. The current teaching staff has over 250 people, including nearly 70 associate professors and doctors, accounting for nearly 41%. In addition, VKU has focused on connecting and building a network of over 200 strategic partners including domestic and international organizations and businesses participating in the training process, job recruitment, sponsorship, cooperation programs Bilingual global programs in English, Japanese, Korean, etc. VKU also deploys many activities, events, international academic-cultural exchange programs, practical projects, internships, business cooperation, programs taught in English, and 100% of the student’s graduation thesis in English.

Students are interviewed and recruited in many fields

VKU Job Fair 2024 has attracted nearly 30 domestic and foreign businesses to participate in interviews and recruitment in the fields of Information Technology, Communications and Digital Economy, bringing nearly 400 jobs, internships and freshers for more than 1,500 VKU students from various courses.

A large number of students are interested in participating in seminars

In addition, VKU Job Fair 2024 witnessed 12 seminars with a variety of topics with speakers who are leading experts from businesses bringing shared perspectives on professional knowledge in the field of Graphic Design, Game Design, IT,… CV writing skill and recruitment interview skill.

Through direct interviews, we have approached and recruited quality students who meet the requirements.”

Participating in VKU Job Fair 2024, student Nguyen Van Khanh – Class 20DA (4th year student, majoring in Digital Art Design) was happy to say: at the fair, I proactively approached 2 suitable businesses with my major as follows: Studio Grey, and Digital Works Entertainment. Through approaching businesses, I have a better understanding about the necessary skills and the recruitment requirements of the businesses. This will be an opportunity for me to prepare and confidently work for a suitable business after I will be graduating next year (2025).
