VKU accompanies to organize the Ho Chi Minh City competency assessment exam 1st phase – 2023
On the morning of March 26, 2023, the competency assessment exam of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) 1st phase took place at the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) Examination Council, Da Nang University, as one of 3 location exam in Da Nang City.
The Examination Council of Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Da Nang, is one of three location exams in Da Nang City.
In Da Nang City, there are 3 location exams with 6 councils, of which the location exam at the Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology has 4 exam councils (numbers 37, 38, 39 and 40) with 3,500 contestants from the Central – Central Highlands’ provinces.
With spacious and modern infrastructure, synchronized investment from the capital of the Government of Vietnam – Korea estimated at more than 1,000 billion VND on a large campus area of nearly 23.6 hectares with a construction of lecture halls, standard working areas and 60 practice rooms, experiments including 2,200 connected computers, automatic control practical equipment and embedded systems to meet the needs of research and learning. The library system with 55,000 books, modern dormitory with a capacity of 4,000 accommodations for students, fully meets the requirements of academic competitions in the best way today.

Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector of the University shared: With organizational experience and capacity in infrastructure, strong teaching staff, VKU always meets the requirements of academic exams at domestic and abroad. In particular, the competency assessment exam of VNU-HCM is one of the important exams for 12 grade high school; the exam results are also one of the admission methods of VKU. For candidates who are admitted to VKU by the competency assessment result with a score above 1,000, they will be considered for financial support equivalent to 50% of the tuition fee for the first 02 semesters of the course. Therefore, VKU is very interested and always ready to coordinate and accompany the exam to contribute to creating the best environment and conditions for candidates and parents such as supporting dormitory arrangement, parking areas and rest for parents while waiting for their children to take the exam.
In 2023, VKU enrolled 1,500 indicators for 14 majors/training majors to meet the demand for high-quality human resources in the 4th industrial revolution, including: Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Design, Networking and Information Security, Business Administration, Logistics and Digital Supply Chain Management, Digital Travel and Tourism Services Management, Digital Financial Management, Information Technology Project Management,… In particular, the admission rate according to the competency assessment of VNU-HCM is 5%, the admission time is expected from April 15 to May 31, 2023.
The competency assessment of VNU-HCM focuses on assessing students basic competencies for university study such as language use, logical thinking, data processing, and problem solving. The test form consists of 120 multiple-choice questions with a 150-minute test time. The competency assessment test form of VNU-HCM consists of 3 parts: Language Using; Mathematics, logical thinking, data analysis and Problem solving in order to evaluate the basic competencies for students to study at university. The test focuses on the ability to deduce and solve problems, not the ability to memorize. Taking the competency assessment exam will help candidates have more opportunities to be elected into the course and University fixed with their choice.
