On December 19, 2022, Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Da Nang signed a tripartite cooperation memorandum with NiX Education Joint Stock Company (NiXEducation) and NecScat Joint Stock Company (Japan). This important event is to internationalize VKUs activities in expanding cooperation relationships in training, fostering, developing high quality human resources and implementing research projects in the field of artificial intelligence and new technologies, contributing to accelerating the countrys digital transformation, and improving the position and capacity of involved units.

Attending the signing ceremony, the representatives of the enterprises were: Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia – General Director of Nix Education Joint Stock Company; Mr. Moriura Takayuki – Business Director of NecScat Joint Stock Company; Mr. Nakano Makoto – Director of Alobridge Japan Company; Mr. Honda Hirotaka – Withus Japan Company. On the VKU side, there is Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Huynh Cong Phap – Principal; Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Nguyen Thanh Binh – Chairman University Council, Dr. Tran The Son – Vice Principal; Dr. Nguyen Quang Vu – Deputy Director of Digital Science and Technology Institute with representatives of the two units’ department.

Opening speech at the signing ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Quang Vu – Deputy Director of Digital Science and Technology Institute is pleased to welcome the delegation of Japanese enterprises to the signing ceremony today. VKU is currently one of the three universities of training and research specialized in information technology (IT) in Vietnam with 15 majors of engineering and bachelor training, with application orientation according to the international university model; strong staffs; having more than 5,000 students and aiming to 8,000 students by 2025. The collaboration between VKU and NiXEducation, NecSacat provides a good opportunity for staff and students to research and develop projects on artificial intelligence and access to new technologies. VKU has assigned eSTI Institute as the focal point to coordinate with enterprises to speed up and concretize cooperation agreements as well as closely coordinate in the process of building research labs within international standards.

Representatives of NiXEducation Company, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia – General Director would like to thank VKU for actively and proactively cooperating with Japanese enterprises and especially VKU and Nix coordinated to organize training the class of Japanese Software Engineering (the first course was implemented from August 2022 with 33 students), there have been many encouraging results up to now (4 students have been worked as part-time at NecScat Joint Stock Company). The process of expanding research cooperation of the three units (VKU-NiX-NecScat) in the coming time will hopefully continue to bring more value in terms of science, economy as well as training, businesses and localities. I hope that our first model cooperation will create a good premise for many other foreign businesses to cooperate with us in the future.

Mr. Moriura Takayuki – Business Director of NecScat Joint Stock Company introduced about the Company

Mr Moriura Takayuki – Business Director of NecScat Joint Stock Company gives a brief introduction of NecScat Joint Stock Company which is an IT company specializing in design, based in Tokyo, Japan. We are always looking for opportunities to cooperate on training support in IT human resources and especially we are now recruiting students of VKUs Japanese Software Engineering class with the support Japanese training of Nix Education. Through the signing tripartite MoU today, we are committed to speeding up the implementation of the research Lab project with the specific theme Genertive Design AI.

According to the cooperation agreement signed between the three units (VKU-NixEducation-NecScat), it will focus on cooperation in implementing plans and activities on training and fostering digital human resources, implementing scheme, projects, science research projects, applied research in the fields of information technology, communication and economics, with specific contents such as sharing knowledge on development, training human resource in digital art design, multimedia communication as well as policies on information and communication technology; implementing science research projects on global design, organizing education and training activities for the university model; coordinating to open specialized classes on UI/UX, graphic design to enhance Japanese.

The signing MoU ceremony between Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology, NixEducation and NecScat marked the development of cooperation between VKU and domestic and international enterprises, contributing to the creation of research opportunities for lecturers, students of the University, contributing high quality human resources to the development of the IT sector in particular and the process of international integration of Vietnam in general.
