Creative Explosion at the Best Web Design – BWD 2025 Finals: VKU Students’ Intellectual Imprint
On the morning of September 13, 2025, the 7th Best Web Design (BWD 2025) Final Round took place, organized by Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang. This annual academic playground gives students a chance to apply their knowledge, gain real-world experience, and design creative, practical websites.
The BWD 2025 Finals concluded successfully with many unique and innovative website ideas.
Attending the BWD 2025 Finals were distinguished guests from enterprises and experts: Mr. Ho Duc Linh – Project Manager of the Bridge Engineer Program, FPT Software Central Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Trong An – Deputy Chief Technology Officer, Enclave; Mr. Hoang Xuan Hieu – Head of Da Nang Branch, Vietnam Internet Center; and Ms. Nguyen Hong Ngoc – Chief Executive Officer, Mirabo Tech JSC. Representing VKU were Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho, Vice Rector and Head of the Organizing Committee; Dr. Nguyen Duc Hien, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee; along with leaders of departments, faculties, and centers at VKU. The event also welcomed members of 13 finalist teams and more than 200 technology-loving students who came to attend and cheer for the competition.
The BWD 2025 competition not only created opportunities for students to connect and exchange ideas with experts from leading IT companies and corporations, but also showcased their unique and valuable products to the community and businesses.

In his opening remarks at the BWD 2025 Finals, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho, Vice Rector of VKU, shared that the Best Web Design contest is an annual event organized by VKU with careful planning, significant investment, and continuous innovation over the years, reflected in the professionalism and high competitiveness of the participating teams. He emphasized that the students not only demonstrated their knowledge and web design skills but also their ability to present their products in English. Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho added that alongside these efforts, VKU places great importance on renewing its training programs and adopting advanced teaching methods. From their first year, VKU students begin creating technology products; by their second year, they are ready to work in businesses; and by their third year, they are equipped with in-depth knowledge linked to creative projects and practical scientific research. This approach aims to train and supply high-quality engineers for the global market.
The 7th BWD 2025 featured two categories: BWD (for first-year students only) and SUPER BWD (for second-year students and above, and previous winners). The competition ran from May 17 to September 13, 2025, attracting nearly 1,000 students, with 264 teams competing in BWD and 7 teams in SUPER BWD.
After two qualifying rounds, BWD 2025 selected 9 outstanding BWD teams and 4 excellent SUPER BWD teams for the final round. The teams continued to apply their skills and knowledge to create websites with unique interfaces, outstanding features, and high practical value on themes such as environmental protection, charity, healthcare, tourism, shopping, and cuisine. The designs stood out for their aesthetics, harmonious color schemes, and the use of modern web technologies including HTML5, CSS, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and jQuery, optimized for popular browsers like Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Google Chrome, and Safari.
In addition, the Product Promotion Round (July 22-30, 2025) generated over 20,000 interactions on Facebook.

With its intellectual significance and strong appeal, this year’s competition received sponsorship and support from FPT Software Central Vietnam, Enclave Software Technology, Vietnam Internet Center – Da Nang Branch, and Mirabo Tech JSC.
The judges posed questions to the BWD 2025 teams
During the BWD 2025 Finals, the teams presented their ideas, introduced their websites, demonstrated their products, and responded to questions from the judges – experts from FPT Software Central Vietnam, Enclave, VNNIC, and Mirabo Tech. After each presentation, the judges provided thoughtful comments and detailed evaluations of the products’ strengths and weaknesses. Their questions not only tested the teams’ knowledge, design, and programming skills but also guided them to identify areas for improvement and explore future development directions for their products.
The Excellent Award (BWD 2025) was presented to VKU Talent for their environmental protection website “Greenmap – Plant a Tree, Change the World.”
The First Prize was awarded to All Might for their charity website “MVP – A Volunteering Platform Supporting Mountain Children.”
At the BWD 2025 Final Round, the Organizing Committee selected and, for the first time, presented one Excellent Award (BWD category) to VKU Talent for their environmental protection website “Greenmap – Plant a Tree, Change the World.” The First Prize went to All Might for their charity website “MVP – A Volunteering Platform Supporting Mountain Children,” and the First Prize (SUPER BWD category) was awarded to GDSC for their solution website “HireTab.” In addition, the committee presented one Second Prize, two Third Prizes, and four Consolation Prizes in the BWD category, as well as one Second Prize and one Third Prize in the SUPER BWD category, with a total prize value of more than 40 million VND.

The 7th BWD 2025 concluded with impressive results, highlighting the creativity and enthusiasm of VKU students. The highly potential and practical products showcased were not only evidence of the students’ capabilities but also a reflection of the university’s modern and innovative training programs. This year’s competition marks an important milestone, encouraging students to continue growing, asserting themselves in the field of information technology, and contributing to the advancement of Vietnam’s technology sector while reaching out to the global stage.
