Conference on Thoroughly Understanding Resolution 71-NQ/TW at VKU:  Enhancing Awareness, Building Consensus, and Moving Toward Sustainable Development

On the morning of December 4, 2025, the Party Committee of Vietnam–Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang, organized a conference to study, disseminate, and implement Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo, and Directive No. 05-CT/TU dated November 10, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the Danang City Party Committee. This important event aimed to help all Party members, officials, and employees of the University thoroughly grasp the spirit and core contents of the documents, thereby translating them into concrete action plans aligned with VKU’s characteristics and development strategies in the new period.

Overview of the conference

Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh – Secretary of the Party Committee and Chair of the University Council; members of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee; the Executive Committee of the Trade Union; the Youth Union; along with all officials, lecturers, staff, and employees of the University.
Notably, the conference featured a presentation by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Van Ha – Reporter of the Party Committee of the Danang People’s Committee and Dean of the Faculty of Political Theory, University of Economics – University of Danang.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh  – Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council delivered remarks

In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh – Secretary of the Party Committee and Chair of the University Council – emphasized the significant importance of Resolution 71-NQ/TW, which sets forth breakthrough objectives for higher education, such as attracting high-quality international faculty, substantially increasing scientific publications, and elevating Vietnamese higher education institutions in regional and global rankings. He also highlighted that Directive 05-CT/TU of the Danang Party Committee represents an urgent requirement for promoting administrative reform, strengthening discipline and accountability, and addressing issues of evasion and irresponsibility in public service performance. He called upon all Party members, officials, and employees to thoroughly grasp the spirit of the Resolution and the Directive, and to transform this understanding into concrete actions in teaching, research, and community service, thereby contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of the University’s operations.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Van Ha delivered his report at the conference

At the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Van Ha presented the core contents, new highlights, and implementation orientations of Resolution 71 and Directive 05. He also raised a number of important issues regarding the requirements for innovation in higher education, the role of high-quality human resources, and the contribution of the intellectual community to the socio-economic development of the city and the country.

All Party members, officials, and staff of the University actively participated in the donation activity

Within the framework of the conference, all Party members, officials, and employees of the University actively participated in a fundraising activity to support people in areas affected by natural disasters in Danang city, Gia Lai province, Dak Lak province, and Khanh Hoa province. The total amount raised reached 22,550,000 VND, in addition to the “one-day salary contribution” program previously launched by the Trade Union and the University. This activity demonstrated the sense of responsibility, compassion, and solidarity of the VKU community toward society.

The conference on studying and thoroughly understanding Resolution 71-NQ/TW and Directive 05-CT/TU at VKU took place in a serious, responsible, and effective manner. The event contributed to enhancing awareness, fostering unity in will and action across the entire Party Committee, and creating an important foundation for the University to continue its strong development in the time ahead.
