AI & Blockchain Workshop at VKU: The key to opening global career opportunities
On the morning of March 18, 2025, the Vietnam-Korea Information and Communication Technology (VKU), Da Nang University in collaboration with the Academy of Blockchain and AI Innovation (ABAII), Vietnam Blockchain Association (VBA) organized the Seminar: “Blockchain and AI: Future Technology in the Digital Age” to update technology knowledge and career orientation for the young generation in the face of the increasingly strong development trend of blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI).
Overview of the workshop
Attending the program, on the guest speaker side, were Dr. Vo Cong Khoi – Chief of Da Nang Office, Vietnam Blockchain Association; Mr. Nguyen Duc Long – Director of Digital Transformation, ABAII Institute; Mr. Vu Van Quyet – Chairman of Locamos; Mr. Nguyen Nam Hai – Co-founder & CEO of AvocaAI-Teach&Learn AI; Mr. Thomas Hoang – COO Ting Founder. On the VKU side, there was Dr. Tran The Son – Vice Rector of the University along with the leaders of the Departments, Faculties and nearly 500 lecturers and students of all majors attending the program onsite and online.

In his opening speech, Dr. Tran The Son – Vice Rector of the University emphasized the essential role of accessing new technologies in the training program when Vietnam and the world are entering the digital age, AI and Blockchain platforms are gradually becoming key drivers for the digital transformation process, creating many opportunities and challenges for the job market.
In that context, VKU is committed to strengthening cooperation with professional organizations to help students fully equip themselves with skills, ready to catch up with global technology trends. At the same time, lecturers and students of the University have more conditions to supplement and update their technological knowledge, career orientation in the increasingly strong development trend of blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI).

At the conference, experts emphasized the importance of AI and Blockchain in the digital age, especially Generative AI – a technology that is profoundly changing fields from content creation, design to scientific research. AI is no longer an option. It has become an inevitable requirement of the labor market, with 66% of global businesses setting recruitment criteria related to this skill.
In addition, blockchain is forecast to reach a scale of over 30,000 billion USD by 2034, becoming an important platform in finance, supply chain and education. Along with that, high-tech startups are increasingly attracting large capital flows thanks to their breakthroughs and rapid scalability.
Experts also emphasized the change in the labor market when AI and Blockchain not only replace many traditional jobs but also open up opportunities for those who are ready to adapt, improve digital skills and critical thinking. Faced with this trend, VKU has integrated AI and Blockchain into its training programs, encouraging students to participate in practical projects to improve their competitiveness. At the same time, cooperation between universities and businesses is considered a key factor in training high-quality human resources to meet market demands in the digital age.
Blockchain and AI Application Seminar
In the context of Vietnam aiming to become the leading country in the region in Blockchain by 2030, equipping AI and Blockchain skills right from university will be an important provision for the young generation. Therefore, the seminar program has helped VKU students update new knowledge and motivate them to enter the digital age where creativity and technology are considered the keys to open the door to the future.
Overview of the working session
Immediately after the seminar, the University’s leaders had a working session with ABAII and VBA to promote cooperation in training high-quality human resources in the fields of AI and Blockchain. At the meeting, the parties discussed the recognition of a number of standardized courses, ensuring that they are consistent with the training programs at VKU, helping students have a solid foundation to access new technologies. At the same time, ABAII and VBA committed to providing professional support in training programs related to Blockchain and Financial Technology (Fintech), contributing to improving the quality of practical teaching and training.
In addition, the parties also agreed to coordinate in providing job information for VKU students in the field of Blockchain, expanding internship opportunities and connecting businesses. One of the important highlights of the cooperation is to research and organize an innovation competition applying AI and Blockchain, creating an academic playground for students to promote their creativity and practice technology.
In particular, VKU also invited the Vietnam Blockchain Association to participate in providing professional support for the DEFI workshop, contributing to improving the quality of content and connecting leading experts in this field.
With close cooperation orientations, VKU continues to affirm its pioneering role in training, research and international cooperation, ready to provide high-quality human resources to meet the needs of the global digital technology market.
