Academic exchange between VKU and KMUTNB to enhance training networks expansion and exchange of lecturers and students
On the afternoon of August 23, 2023, at the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Da Nang held an academic exchange program between VKU and King MongKuts University of Technology North Bangkok, Thailand. This is one of the annual activities to effectively implement a memorandum of understanding between the two units in strengthening and expanding training network, scientific research, exchange of lecturers and students in the field of information technology and digital economy.

Attending the program, on the side of KMUTNB, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Sunantha Sodsee, Dean of IT & Digital Innovation Faculty – Head Team; Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Supisa Phumdej, Dean; Dr. Duangkamol Wattanawisitkul (Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Industrial Management); Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Siranee Nuchitprasitchai, Dr. Yuenyong Nilsiam (KMUTNB-STEM Education Center); On the VKU side, Dr. Nguyen Quang Vu – Head of Science, Technology and Cooperation Department, Dr. Nguyen Duc Hien – Dean of Computer Science Faculty, Dr. Le Phuoc Cuu Long – Vice Dean, in charge of Digital Economics and E-Commerce Faculty, Dr. Nguyen Vu Anh Quang – Vice Dean, in charge of Computer Engineering and Electronics Faculty, University lecturers and students.

The academic exchange program is shared by KMUTNBs experts, academic exchange for lecturers and students of the global Bachelor/Engineer training program in Business Administration and Information Technology with a lot of useful information and propose solutions, development strategies, improve the quality of Information Technology and Digital Economy human resources to meet the socio-economic development requirements of the country and adapt appropriately to the foreign labor market. The opinions and suggestions at the program have been synthesized, absorbed and referenced through the topics presented such as:
(1) Introduction to STEM-KMUTNB and Tourism – Hospitality Industrial Management
(2) Applying Block Programming to IoT – Part I: Beginning with Block Programming
(3) Applying Block Programming to IoT – Part II – Group Simulation Testing
(4) Study of Consumer Behavior in the Tourism – Hospitality Industrial Management

With the orientation and strategy to reach out internationally, a memorandum of understanding between the two units signed on July 28, 2023 has opened up many opportunities to develop, support and maximize capacity in teaching, learning and research activities of both. The academic exchange program between the two universities will be a good opportunity for University’s lecturers and students to access the international learning environment, academic exchange, improve professional knowledge and make strong breakthroughs in the coming time. This program is also one of the specific activities to promote cooperation opportunities in the ACIR community (ASEAN Consortium for Innovation and Research) initiated by VKU recently.
