Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of VKU delivering remarks
In his remarks at the ceremony, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho congratulated the 98 students of Cohort 4 (24JIT) on officially joining the Japanese–Vietnamese bilingual IT Engineer Program, and expressed his appreciation for the effective and sustainable partnership with NiX Education and Japanese enterprises. He emphasized that the program is not merely foreign language training, but an integrated training model that equips students with professional knowledge, foreign language proficiency, and international working styles. This approach aligns with VKU’s strategic orientation in training high-quality information technology human resources who are ready to integrate into the global labor market, especially the Japanese market.
Starting from the first cohort with only 33 students, the program has continuously expanded in both scale and quality, bringing the total number of students across four cohorts to nearly 250. Practical implementation shows that many students from the first cohort have been officially recruited by Japanese enterprises or have participated in long-term internships in Japan. Students from subsequent cohorts have also been regularly accepted for internships and part-time work during their studies. These outcomes affirm the practicality, effectiveness, and attractiveness of the enterprise-linked bilingual training model that VKU has consistently pursued. A key highlight of the program is the strong involvement of enterprises throughout the entire training process, from providing 100% scholarships for Japanese language training, textbooks, and learning materials, to offering career guidance and job placement support. Through this partnership, VKU students are able to study in an international-standard environment from their university years, thereby enhancing their competitiveness and expanding career opportunities in high-level labor markets.

Mr. Matsuda Tomoya – GLD-LAB Joint Stock Company delivering remarks
On behalf of the Japanese enterprises, Mr. Matsuda Tomoya from GLD-LAB highly appreciated VKU students for their professional skills, Japanese communication abilities, as well as the proactive and progressive spirit. He shared that since 2024, GLD-LAB has collaborated in implementing software development projects with NiX students through remote working models. Through these projects, many students have developed rapidly, reached a working level comparable to Japanese engineers, and officially become employees of the company. GLD-LAB committed to continuing its partnership and creating opportunities for VKU students to participate in real projects and develop their careers in a global working environment.
According to the plan, the 98 students of class 24JIT selected from nearly 300 students of the 2024 intake in Information Technology and Semiconductor Microchip Design programs will study Japanese in parallel with their major training at VKU, with a total Japanese language training duration of up to 1,200 hours. After graduation, students are expected to achieve at least Japanese proficiency level N3, with sufficient capacity to communicate and work in Japanese on information technology projects. They will be ready to work at Japanese enterprises, international organizations, or continue their studies and research at higher levels, contributing high-quality human resources to the country’s integration and development process.
