The first presentation was delivered by VKU’s student team with the topic: “Hybrid AI Approaches for Abusive Website Detection.”
A key highlight of AWRIS 2025 is the presentation session featuring 10 outstanding student teams from various prestigious universities and research institutions. This year’s research topics cover a wide range of advanced fields, addressing some of today’s most pressing scientific and technological issues: from AI in malicious website detection, anti-spoofing facial recognition, Khmer language chatbot development, voice fraud detection, and IoT systems for smart campuses, to drone-based logistics optimization, cloud-based learning infrastructure, computer vision for traffic systems, AI-integrated hardware, and software defect prediction.
Each student team is given 15 minutes to present and defend their research before an international panel of judges from Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and other countries. These presentations created a vibrant academic atmosphere, sparked research inspiration, and affirmed the critical role of students in driving innovation.
Held over two days, August 23–24, 2025, AWRIS also features a variety of exciting side activities such as cultural exchange events, international student experiences, and sightseeing tours to iconic destinations in Da Nang and the ancient town of Hoi An. These activities provide young participants not only with opportunities to learn and share knowledge but also to explore culture, deepen mutual understanding, and strengthen international friendships.
With the enthusiastic participation of international scientists, lecturers, and students, AWRIS 2025 once again affirms VKU’s pioneering role in hosting regionally scaled academic activities, while spreading the spirit of scientific research and innovation throughout the student community both in Vietnam and abroad.
