VKU: Three Future Engineers from the Japanese–Vietnamese Bilingual Software Engineering Program Embark on Internship in Japan
On the morning of July 30, 2025, three students from Class 21JIT—the first cohort of the Japanese–Vietnamese bilingual Software Engineering program at Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang—officially departed for Japan to begin their long-term internship at IMPL Corporation. This program is jointly organized by VKU and NiX Education, aiming to train high-quality IT professionals equipped with both technical expertise and Japanese language proficiency, ready to thrive in global working environments.

The three students icluding Phan Cong Binh, Pham Hoang Phuc, and Le Thi Thu Trang will be interning at IMPL Corporation’s office in Kitakyushu City, Japan from August 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. Their main tasks will involve planning and developing web systems and applications. Throughout the internship, they will receive a salary and full employee benefits similar to official staff.
IMPL Corporation will cover all airfare, airport transfers, daily transportation support, and partial accommodation costs. The company has also arranged fully equipped housing and essential living amenities. Moreover, designated company representatives will assist the students upon arrival and provide ongoing support during their stay and work in Japan. Importantly, students will work and interact directly with Japanese supervisors and colleagues—an invaluable opportunity to develop professional skills, language ability, and an industrial work ethic in a real-world international setting.
Meeting with 03 VKU students before internship
Prior to their departure, on July 28, 2025, VKU held a send-off and orientation meeting for the students. Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho, Vice Rector of VKU, along with leaders from relevant departments, extended their encouragement and shared key expectations regarding the internship and graduation project requirements, ensuring the students stay on track to complete the program and qualify for their engineering degrees upon returning.
These three interns represent outstanding members of the 21JIT class, the inaugural cohort of the bilingual Software Engineering program at VKU. Earlier, two classmates—Tran Thi Thu Dung and Nguyen Ngoc Lanh—received official job offers from NecScat Corporation and will begin working in Japan in early 2026. Notably, almost all students in Class 21JIT have secured paid online internships with Japanese companies—an impressive result that reflects the program’s strategic direction, comprehensive training, and strong preparation.
The fact that students have been accepted for internships and offered full-time positions by Japanese enterprises right from the very first cohort is a remarkable achievement for both VKU and NiX Education. It stands as a clear testament to the effectiveness of a training model that tightly integrates academia, industry, and local development goals. This also serves as a strong affirmation of VKU students’ global integration capacity, career prospects, and remarkable maturity as they embark on their journey to reach the world.
This journey is not only a step forward equipped with knowledge and skills, but also carries with it the trust, expectations, and great aspirations of VKU—a university that is continuously innovating and integrating globally to empower Vietnamese dreams to soar on the international stage.
