Conference on Developing high-quality human resources: Connecting three pillars in the digital age and global integration

Within the framework of the Student Job Fair and VKU Job Fair 2025, on the morning of June 6, 2025, Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), Danang University successfully organized the Conference on “Developing High-Quality Human Resources in the Digital Age and Global Integration”, aiming to create a forum to connect three pillars “State – School – Enterprise”, thereby promoting effective coordination in training and fostering human resources in accordance with the requirements of socio-economic development in the digital age and globalization.

Overview of the conference

Attending the conference were representatives from Danang City’s Departments and Agencies, including Mr. Le Son Phong (Deputy Director, Department of Science and Technology) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong (Deputy Director, Department of Home Affairs); On the side of Danang University, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Bac (Deputy Director) and representatives of Danang University’s functional departments; On the side of enterprises, there were Mr. Bui Ngoc Vinh (Chairman, Danang Software Entrepreneurs Club – DSEC), Mr. Heo Hong Beom (Director of International Resources, Job Korea – Korea) and Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia (General Director, Nix Education Company – Japan). On the VKU side, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh (Chairman, The University Council), Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho (Vice Rector), Dr. Nguyen Quang Thanh (Strategy and Foreign Cooperation Advisor), representatives of the functional departments and faculties of the university and more than 250 VKU students.

In his opening speech, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of the University emphasized the importance of developing digital human resources with practical competencies, capable of quickly adapting to technological advancements in the era of AI, big data and globalization. He also shared that, with the mission of training high-quality human resources in the field of digital technology, VKU consistently affirms its pioneering role in building modern training models aligned with the local needs and global trends. With the top entrance scores in the country – an average of 24 points, and up to 27 points for the semiconductor major, VKU students have demonstrated their talent and aspiration to become experts in their field of study. With an innovative and expansive training ecosystem built through cooperation with more than 200 partner enterprises, VKU is steadily affirming its position as a center for training high-quality human resources and a pioneer in the Central – Central Highlands region as well as across the country. In addition, VKU also places strong emphasis on practical training across its bilingual programs (English-Vietnamese, Japanese-Vietnamese, Korean-Vietnamese), enterprise collaboration programs, semiconductor engineers and IT master’s programs. This is supported by a network of advanced technology labs, such as Semiconductor and Smart Technology Hub (VKU–SSTH) and the VKU Fintech Hub, which serve both training and applied research purposes.

Speakers and guests delivered presentations at the conference

In their presentations, speakers and guests representing the three sectors “State – School – Enterprise” focused on clarifying their respective roles in advancing the strategy for developing digital human resources, from policy planning by local authorities to practical requirements and recruitment trends of enterprises. Accordingly, Mr. Le Son Phong (Deputy Director, Department of Science and Technology) presented a speech titled “Resolution 57-NQ/TW and its orientation for developing digital human resources in the locality – From strategy to action”. In his presentation, he emphasized the government’s role in digital human resource development, highlighted policies to support the collaboration among the three sectors “State – School – Enterprise”, thereby realizing the Resolution 57. On the enterprise side, Mr. Heo Hong Beom (Director of International Resources, Job Korea – Korea) delivered a presentation titled “Global human resource needs in the era of AI – Cloud – Data – Korean Market”, emphasizing the role of skills and adaptability in the globalized environment; Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia (General Director, Nix Education – Japan) presented a paper on the topic “Practical capacity for graduates – VKU and NIX conquer Japanese enterprises”, sharing practical experience in training students to meet the international market. On the school side, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho gave a presentation on the topic “Training high-quality human resources in the digital age and global integration”, affirming the key role of the university in forming an ecosystem of training, research and innovation. All are aimed at training students with practical skills, global thinking and ready-to-work spirit in an international environment.

Panel Discussion on “Connecting three pillars to train high-quality human resources”

The panel discussion session on the topic “Connecting three parties to train high-quality human resources” featured the participation of Mr. Le Son Phong (Deputy Director, Department of Science and Technology – Da Nang), Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho (Vice Rector, VKU), Dr. Nguyen Quang Thanh (Former Director, Department of Information and Communications – Da Nang; Strategy and Foreign Cooperation Advisor, VKU) and Mr. Bui Ngoc Vinh (Chairman, Da Nang Software Entrepreneurs Club – DSEC). Delegates from the government, schools, and enterprises shared practical insights and in-depth perspectives on collaborative human resource development. The speakers reached a consensus on the importance of tripartite collaboration in building an effective, adaptable, and practice-oriented training ecosystem. Difficulties in recruitment, the gap between training and application, as well as expectations for a flexible training coordination model were openly discussed, contributing to opening up many new directions for human resource development in the coming period. The conference on “Developing high-quality human resources in the digital age and global integration” concluded in an atmosphere of enthusiasm, collaboration, and strong connectivity. As a key activity in the series of Student Job Fair and VKU Job Fair 2025, the conference not only reaffirmed VKU’s pioneering role in accompanying businesses and the government, but also demonstrated its commitment to building an innovative and market-oriented education system that delivers practical values ​​to students and the community. This serves as a vital foundation for the parties to continue fostering strategic cooperation in the coming time.
