VKU in Collaboration with FPT Software Central Region organizes seminar to introduce Korean–Vietnamese Bilingual IT Engineer/Bachelor Training Program

On the afternoon of May 9, 2025, Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology, the University of Danang, in collaboration with FPT Software Central Region, held a seminar to introduce the Korean–Vietnamese bilingual training program for IT Engineers and Bachelors. The event aimed to provide detailed information about the training program, career orientation, and create opportunities for connection between students and businesses, especially in the field of information technology with a focus on the Korean market.

Overview of the seminar

 Attending the seminar from VKU were Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of the University, along with representatives from various Departments and Faculties; from FPT Software Central Region, there were Mr. Phan Trung Diep – Head of Resource Assurance Department; Ms. Luong Thu Ha – Deputy Head of Training and Language Department; Mr. Ho Duc Linh – Project Manager of the Korean Bridge Engineer Training Program, and over 200 VKU students interested in the program.

Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – VKU Vice Rector is delivering his speech

 In his speech at the seminar, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector affirmed that the event was a practical activity within the cooperation framework between the university and businesses, especially in training high-quality IT human resources with an international integration orientation. Since 2021, VKU has developed a Global Training Program with bilingual English–Vietnamese, Japanese–Vietnamese, and Korean–Vietnamese engineer and bachelor classes, recruiting nearly 500 students annually. Notably, the Japanese–Vietnamese bilingual IT Engineer program (JIT), in partnership with NiX Education, helps students achieve Japanese language proficiency from JLPT N3 to N2 within 3 years, preparing them to work in Japanese enterprises or participate in local study-abroad programs. Additionally, the Korean–Vietnamese bilingual Software Engineer program (KIT) is specifically designed for students targeting careers in Korean companies. Furthermore, all VKU students receive English training that meets international output standards, with the goal that 100% of students write and defend their graduation thesis in English. These programs clearly demonstrate VKU’s commitment to training high-quality human resources capable of working in a global environment.

Regarding the Korean Bridge Engineer Training Program in partnership with FPT Software Central Region, 90 students from c 21 and 22 have been recruited and trained. In 2025, the program will continue to expand with a target enrollment of 60 students in cohort 23. During the program, students receive 100% support for Korean language tuition fees, learning materials, and various other support policies; they have opportunities for internships, soft skills development, and connection to the Korean labor market through FPT’s branch network in that country.

 At the seminar, Mr. Phan Trung Diep Head of Resource Assurance Department, FPT Software Central Region shared practical and vivid insights about the demand for IT human resources in the Korean market and the important role of the bridge engineer training program. He emphasized that the program not only equips students with professional knowledge but also focuses on developing language proficiency (Korean), soft skills, and adaptability to the international working environment.

FPT Software Central Vietnam commits to accompany students throughout their studies by sponsoring textbooks, covering 100% of Korean language tuition fees in the training program, organizing supplementary classes, extracurricular and professional activities, and supporting internships at enterprises. With its branch network in Korea, FPT Software opens opportunities for VKU students to directly access the international labor market after graduation.

The seminar introducing the Korean–Vietnamese bilingual IT Engineer/Bachelor training program provided practical information and strong motivation for VKU students in their career orientation. This event continues to demonstrate the effective connection between the university and enterprises in training high-quality, internationally integrated human resources – exactly in line with VKU’s strategic orientation in the era of digital transformation and globalization.
