VKU and CFK Korea: Strategic cooperation for the development of high-quality human resources in the fields of information technology, AI and Fintech

On October 30, 2024, the delegation of Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector, visited and worked with ChildFund Korea – CFK at its headquarters in Seoul, Korea. The delegation included the head of the Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation and head of the Department of Planning and Finance.

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector of the University was pleased and sincerely thanked CFK for accompanying VKU so far. With the motto of taking learners as the center, VKU pursues the educational philosophy of “Humanity – Dedication – Liberation” with the vision of training and developing comprehensive human beings with the spirit of contributing to the community and the country.

Over the past year, VKU and CFK have actively collaborated to implement numerous targeted programs and projects, providing valuable learning and practical experience opportunities for VKU students and pupils nationwide. Notable activities include the Central Highlands Informatics Olympiad, VKU Campus Tour, VKU Fintech Hub, and the “2024 Korean Invitational Program,” all of which have inspired VKU students to continuously learn, enhance their skills, and gain practical knowledge to prepare for their future careers in the technology sector.

On behalf of CFK, Ms. Kim Jin, Director of Global Programs, expressed her support for VKU’s training goals and confirmed that CFK will continue to back practical projects aimed at helping Vietnamese students, including those at VKU, develop skills, creativity, and the ability to apply technology to real-life situations. This partnership not only creates opportunities for student learning and growth but also underscores the strong commitment of both parties to the sustainable development of the community and the Vietnamese technology sector.

At the meeting, leaders from both sides discussed new cooperative initiatives aimed at sustainable training to meet the growing demand for human resources in AI and Fintech, with a particular focus on community-serving development projects.

This visit and collaboration with CFK once again reinforced VKU’s leading role in training high-quality human resources, promoting international cooperation, and contributing to the advancement of Vietnam’s information technology, communications, and digital economy.
