In the joyful and exciting atmosphere of new students across the country, on September 4, 2025, Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang, officially welcomed 1,500 freshmen of 2025 cohort for enrollment.

From the early morning of September 4, 2025, many freshmen and their parents gathered at VKU, bringing along their luggage and hopes for a new chapter of life. Joy was evident on their faces as they officially became VKU students, marking a significant milestone on their journey into higher education. Alongside the excitement, there was also a mix of nervousness and concern from both students and parents as they prepared to begin an independent life away from home, in a new learning environment with new teachers, friends, and knowledge.

Concluding the 2025 admissions season, VKU received nearly 16,000 applications through various admission methods. A total of 1,618 students were admitted to VKU with entrance scores ranging from 23 to 26.56 (based on high school academic records), from 18 to 24 (based on national high school graduation exam results), and through other methods such as direct admission per MOET regulations, achievement-based admission, and competency assessment results from Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City. Out of those, 1,500 students completed their online enrollment at http://nhaphoc.vku.udn.vn, and 100% of them finalized their in-person enrollment at VKU.

Enrollment areas

To ensure a smooth and welcoming enrollment process for new students, VKU had long prepared by setting up designated enrollment areas, decorating the campus with banners, flags, and signs, and maintaining a clean and green environment. The entire campus was designed to create a warm, friendly atmosphere that made students and parents feel truly welcomed by the VKU family. More than 200 enthusiastic volunteers, including faculty and student volunteers, were stationed from nearby streets to various points across campus, including dormitories and enrollment stations, to guide and assist students and parents wholeheartedly.

Adding to the festive spirit of enrollment day, several organizations and enterprises partnering with VKU participated with booths to welcome and support new students. These included NiX Education, Mobifone 2, Agribank Tan Chinh, Kim Anh Computer, Phong Vu Computers, FPT Shop, and others.

“0 vnd Love Bus” welcomes students to the dormitory

In line with VKU’s educational philosophy of Humanity – Dedication – Liberation, the university brought to life the “0 vnd Love Bus – Supporting Freshmen to School” program. This initiative assisted students from distant provinces who were arriving in Da Nang for the first time, with three bus trips per day on September 4–5, 2025, from three key locations: Da Nang Central Bus Station (North), Da Nang Railway Station, and Duc Long Bus Station (South). The program safely transported over 200 freshmen and accompanying parents to VKU’s dormitory, creating a sense of warmth and trust in VKU as the university of their dreams.

Especially noteworthy in the 2025 admission cycle, VKU will award 8 full scholarships to freshmen of the 2025 cohort to participate in the “2025 Hanwha Life Future Plus Korean Invitational Program” in South Korea, scheduled for November 2025. The program covers 100% of travel and participation costs and includes visits to leading fintech corporations and startup incubators in Seoul.

Enrollment Day was not only a significant milestone marking a new chapter for each freshman but also a testament to the growing prestige, appeal, and stature of VKU within the Vietnamese higher education system.
